The house sits in the centre of a little village in the Limousin countryside.
Situated in the heart of the National Park of Périgord-Limousin about 35Kms SW of Limoges
It is an 18th Century Stone cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms And Modern open-plan living space.
(Building to the left is a disused Café)
It’s also just a few kilometres north of the Dordogne
The area is noted for its many lakes and chateaux and beautiful rolling countryside. The quiet roads and paths make it perfect for relaxed walking, cycling and touring by car or motorbike. Many of the great lakes nearby have been developed to include beaches
and have various water sports and fishing facilities available.

The cottage is in centre of the old village or ‘Bourg’, near the church. There is a park just below the village with a trout stream and picnic areas off which lead several way marked walks. A disused railway line passes through the top of the village and forms a 12Km cycle path between Oradour-Sur-Vayres and Châlus. It has many viewpoints, Picnic areas, old Halts and Stations. The railway theme continues beyond Châlus with a ‘velorail’ continuing on to Bussière-Galant. This is a trolley-like contraption which travels on the rails and is twin cycle powered and seats 2+2.
